Tottenham finish 4th after Eriksen free-kick earns point v Everton

Christian Eriksen’s free-kick earned Tottenham a point as they drew with Everton 2-2 to seal a fourth-placed Premier League finish.

The home side took an early lead when Everton failed to clear a corner and Eric Dier was there to poke the ball past Jordan Pickford in the Toffees goal.

Everton were back in it though in the 69th minute when Gylfi Sigurdsson fed Theo Walcott, who got enough on his shot to beat Hugo Lloris in off the post.

The visitors then took the lead when Cenk Tosun bundled the ball home from close range, only for Christian Eriksen to curl home a free-kick minutes later to draw Spurs level.
