Sharron Davies isn’t letting the nationwide lockdown affect her stellar physique or her Olympian-level swimming ability.
The former Olympic swimmer, 57, has been practising her lengths from the comfort of her own kitchen as she debuts an innovative way to improvise without needing a pool.
The mum-of-three – who retired from competitive swimming in 1994 – impressed fans with a clip of herself doing front crawl over her kitchen counter, before going on to butterfly and breast stroke.
The Silver Olympic medalist of Moscow’s 1980 Olympic Games donned professional gear for the clip – wearing a swimsuit, goggles and swim cap.
Sharing the video with her 60k Twitter followers, Sharron penned: “What do you do when you can’t get to a swimming pool!! #lockdown #swimmer #challenge.”
The video stunned fans as many rushed to comment on the clip.
One fan asked the swimming sensation if someone was holding her feet as the video crops her legs at calf-length.

Sharron responded saying that her 13-year-old son Finley was hanging on to her ankles “for dear life” during the video.
Another follower penned: “I was just willing someone to walk on screen and Chuck a bucket of water – proper 3D effects during lockdown.”

And Sharron tweeted back, saying: “I said to Finley we needed four peeps – 1 to hold feet, 1 to film, 1 to chuck water but we only had us 2 sadly.”
Meanwhile a third wrote: “Just as well. Having to mop the kitchen floor would have ruined the afternoon.”
