Jurgen Klopp has been reminding his Liverpool squad how far they’ve come in a short space of time during their coronavirus lockdown.
Football around the globe has been suspended indefinitely with little sign of a resumption soon, leaving Klopp and his players – who are a massive 25 points clear at the top of the table – frustrated as they are made to wait for the club’s first top-flight league title in 30 years.
The Premier League remains determined to restart the season when it is safe to do so, but until then Klopp has been searching for ways to keep his players’ spirits up.
In a chat with Liverpool’s YouTube channel he detailed some of those methods, as he stumbled upon some video highlights of his side’s recent successes and shared them in the players’ Whatsapp group.

“I started with a video about the trophy celebration after the Champions League game,” said Klopp, who added that he has taking up running and cooking during his break from work.
“It came up on my YouTube list and I watched it for three or four minutes, then I put it in the group just with the little phrase ‘still true’.
“And by the way, I said, we played some exceptional games as well.
“So I sent them the Barcelona game, and then I sent the Man City game, the Leicester away game, and the United at home game.

“There were quite a few nice games, just these two-and-a-half, three minute clips, and I told the boys ‘come on, send your favourite videos from the last year, or years’. And there were quite a few nice ones.
“The boys sent a lot of their own videos, which they made when we were driving through the city (after the Champions League win), and you can see that they really enjoyed that and they are looking forward to something similar.”
