Wolves learn UEFA’s bold plans for completing Europa League
UEFA are set to announce plans for the Europa League to completed in August with matches played every three days, according to reports.
European football has been brought to a halt due to the coronavirus crisis and leagues across the continent are expected to go on well into the summer.
UEFA intends to conclude both the Europa League and Champions League – and Sky Sports Italia are now stating that a decision has been made that will affect both this season and the 2020/21 campaign.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, competing in their first continental competition for 40 years, controversially played away at Olympiakos the day before UEFA suspended matches.

Man Utd ‘clear path for Wolves to complete James Rodriguez transfer’
Colombian superstar James Rodriguez continues to be linked with a surprise transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Rodriguez, 28, is set to become available in the summer window after falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.
Wolves and Everton are the two teams reportedly in the race for Rodriguez, though his countryman Faustino Asprilla believes he’s worthy of a move to one of the Premier League’s grander names.
Speaking to RCN (via Sport Witness), Asprilla said: “It must be very uncomfortable for James not to play, because when you’re a footballer with the recognition of James, you will always want to play.”

Wolves learn Lazio keen on Jonny Otto
Jonny Otto is a wanted man in the next transfer window.
Italian side Lazio are lining up a bid for the Spanish wing-back, who has been a hit since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers on an initial loan deal in the summer of 2018.
Arriving from Atletico Madrid, for whom he never made an appearance after leaving Celta Vigo for the Spanish international, left hand flier Jonny impressed in the first six months of his loan deal and that form prompted Molineux chiefs to transform the deal into a permanent arrangement.
He’d cost Wolves £15m, but it’s been money well spent to date; Jonny has broken into Spain’s national squad during his time in England and has been a regular down the left under Nuno.

Mourinho has a plan ‘to complete Jimenez transfer’
Jose Mourinho plans to use his link with super-agent Jorge Mendes to take Raul Jimenez to Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.
Wolves striker Jimenez has been in stunning form this season with 22 goals across all competitions, including a brilliant winner against Spurs in the Premier League in March.
It’s little surprise that many of the game’s elite are courting him with Manchester United and Real Madrid also reportedly among his admirers.
And, according to Soccer Link in France, Mourinho will attempt to use his relationship with Mendes to lure Jimenez away from Molineux.
