Aaron Wan-Bissaka reveals toughest opponent in Manchester United training - Manchester Evening News

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has named Marcus Rashford as his toughest opponent in Manchester United training and believes the England international has helped him develop as a player.

The right-back has gone from strength to strength since joining from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window, becoming an important first-team player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Wan-Bissaka’s tackling ability has wowed United supporters this season and the 22-year-old was at his very best when he nullified the threat of Raheem Sterling during the Manchester derby win back in March.

The youngster believes Rashford challenges him the most in training and enjoys coming up against his countryman.

When asked who his toughest opponent on the training field was, he told the United website: “I’d say Marcus.

“He’s just so unpredictable. When I first joined United and came up against him in training, he was doing things that I just really didn’t expect.

“I thought he’d go a certain way and he’d go the other way, or I thought he was about to do one thing and he did another, so he’s really tricky to play against.

“I enjoy that though. It has been really good for my own development to test myself against him and the other attackers we have at the club.”
