Paul Pogba has finally hit back at long-time critic, Liverpool great and Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness.
The Frenchman has admitted while speaking on the UTD podcast that he’d never heard of Souness. Pogba went on to explain how he shuts out noise from pundits and critics.
“I didn’t even know who [Souness] was,” Pogba said.
“I heard he was a great player and stuff like that. I don’t know the face but the name [I do].
“Like I said I’m not someone that watches a lot of [punditry], I watch a lot of football but I don’t stay after the game to listen to what they say about ‘Why they did this’ or ‘why they did that’.
“I like to focus on football.”
On the transfer front, United continue to be linked with Tottenham captain Harry Kane with Real Madrid reportedly not interested in the England international.

Donny van de Beek agent issues transfer update amid United links
Donny van de Beek’s agent admits he does not know what the future holds for the Ajax midfielder amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
“What’s going to happen to Donny? Nobody knows at the moment,” Albers told Voetbal International, as quoted by Tribal Football.
“The interest, that is known, has been there from several clubs for a long time.
“We will see what will come out in the coming weeks. I dare not say anything about it and can not say anything about it, also because some things are confidential. The situation per club will have changed and we have to look closely at that.”
Hargreaves explains what Scholes did better than Ronaldo
Owen Hargreaves says Paul Scholes was better ‘mentally’ than Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was the most talented player I ever played with,” he told BT Sport .
“But Cristiano Ronaldo was also 6ft 1in, explosive, could play with both feet, could jump like a basketball player.
“In terms of mentally, the best player I ever played with was Paul Scholes, because he had to think the game.
“Physically he wasn’t as dominant as Cristiano because of his size and his speed, but his brain was as sharp as anybody I ever played with.
“So to compare the two is almost not fair, because they’re completely different.
“Cristiano in terms of all the attributes, it was like he was born to be a football player and he’s almost a machine.
“And Scholesy was just mentally two steps ahead of everybody else. That’s why Xavi and Iniesta and all those players modelled their game on him, because he was very special.”

Marcos Rojo sends United transfer message
Marcos Rojo has urged United to let him extend his loan spell at Estudiantes.
Rojo told local radio programme Estudiantes Y Su Gente: “If it depends on me, I will speak to Manchester United’s management about the possibility of staying here for another six months.
“I will feel a tremendous sense of pain if I have to leave after playing in so few matches.
“I am completely recovered now, and fit to play once more.”
Bruno Fernandes on playing with Paul Pogba
Bruno Fernandes says Paul Pogba has the same pressure on his shoulders as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“A lot,” Fernandes told the official club website. “A lot. I think we have a lot of good players in the midfield.
“Obviously Paul is injured from a long time [ago], and all we know is he has a lot of qualities.
“We can say in football that people normally forget what you do good when you have a mistake. You can do good for 34 games, and one game you do bad and everyone will remember that.
“Paul is coming from a bad moment, because of the situation. When he played also, the club and the team was not good, because the expectations are high for Paul, because Paul is a top player and Manchester United pay a lot for him, and expectations are a lot for him.
“It’s normal when you are in that situation you don’t play like a superstar, because everyone expects from Paul like they expect from [Cristiano] Ronaldo at Juventus or [Lionel] Messi at Barcelona. Everyone expects this from Paul in Manchester, because they know he has the qualities for this. Also this is confidence in Paul. The team, we have a lot of confidence in Paul.”
Why United won’t be able to trigger Erling Haaland release clause ‘revealed’
United won’t be able to trigger Erling Haaland’s release clause this summer, according to reports.

United ‘set’ Saul Nigeuz transfer limit

Harry Redknapp explains why Harry Kane shouldn’t join United
Harry Redknapp does not believe Harry Kane would be making a step up by joining United, but would be by joining Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Speaking on the talkSPORT Breakfast, Redknapp said: “Harry Kane is a special player, he’s the best centre forward certainly in the Premier League and of his type I don’t think there’s a better centre forward anywhere.
“Okay, he’s not Messi, he’s not Ronaldo, but as a centre-forward that does what he does, there isn’t anyone better.
“He would be a great fit for Man United, he’d be a great fit for any team… but Man United at the moment are not better than Tottenham. I wouldn’t say there’s much between them, both teams are trying to get into the top four.
“Whether Real Madrid or Barcelona came in, he might fancy a move like that one day.
“But at the moment he belongs to Tottenham, and unless Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy decide to will cash in if it’s a crazy offer and rebuild the team with that money, unless Jose says, ‘I’ve got three players here we can sign and build a better team with’, then I’m sure he’ll stay at Tottenham.”

Three undervalued talents Manchester United could capitalise on in a buyers’ transfer market
Unprecedented suspension to domestic leagues around the world has led to disruption on a scale never seen before in football.
The Premier League has been on hold since early March and the return date for fixtures is currently unknown. While the future of the current season remains unclear, several plans have been rumoured including a World Cup-style format or a behind-closed-doors end to the 2019/20 season.
However, the disruption caused in recent weeks is likely to have huge effects on football for much longer than the current season. The transfer market has already seen a big fall in player value due to the uncertainty surrounding the remainder of domestic competitions and individual financial situations of clubs.

Manchester United youngster has new Ryan Giggs challenge
It is hard to take many positives from the current postponement of football, but for one Manchester United youngster there might be a silver lining.
The ongoing pandemic has halted the exciting momentum of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team side with wider chaos caused to the larger football schedule. As things stand no tournaments involving United have been cancelled, rather put on hold, and for United legend Ryan Giggs it is something he knows all too well about.
This summer was his chance to prove doubters wrong. Written off by many when he succeeded national hero Chris Coleman as Wales manager, the former United winger was forced to learn the hard way as he salvaged a disappointing qualification campaign for the European Championships.
