Sir Alex Ferguson took an uncharacteristic break from his transfer rules to sign Louis Saha for Manchester United.
Saha joined United in 2004 having scored a goal every other game during four season for Fulham.
The Frenchman went on to win two Premier League titles and a Champions League while at Old Trafford.
And his arrival at the club was met with universal welcome.
“Sir Alex never asked us which players we should sign or never asked us information about players he was going to sign,” his former team-mate Gary Neville told Sky Sports.
