Xherdan Shaqiri has pledged his future to Liverpool amid speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
The Reds announced on Tuesday that Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno would be leaving the club, with rumours suggesting Shaqiri could be following them out of Anfield.
Despite a decent return from the Swiss star this season, Shaqiri has not played as much for manager Jurgen Klopp as he would have liked since his move from Stoke last summer.
However, fresh off the back of Liverpool’s Champions League triumph, Shaqiri insisted he was going nowhere.
“I’m at Liverpool FC, the best club in Europe,” Shaqiri told Goal .

“The manager has many good options and has to decide who can play. I knew before my transfer that the competition here is very tough.
“I have a long-term contract and I definitely will stay.”
Shaqiri was on the bench for his side’s European Cup final win over Tottenham in Madrid on Saturday, but didn’t get on the pitch.

It was familiar territory for the 27-year-old, who has made more appearances as a sub than as a starter for the Merseyside club this campaign.
He was one of the stars for Stoke last season, but has failed to break his way into Liverpool’s starting XI.
Shaqiri has often struggled to make the desired impact for Klopp this season, prompting suggestions he may not have much of a future under the German’s regime.

That could be made all the more difficult by the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to full fitness, as well as any potential new summer arrivals.
Sturridge and Moreno are two other players who have struggled for game time under Klopp, and have now been shown the exit door,
The pair’s contracts have expired, and they will now leave the club on free transfers.
