The lawmaker representing Esan South-East local government in Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Festus Udughele, has raised an alarm over alleged invasion of the area by suspected ritualists.

Udughele who raised the alarm while moving a motion under matters of urgent public importance, narrated to the assembly during plenary on Wednesday how unidentified hoodlums attacked Ubiaja town, killed four persons and removed their vital organs.

He said the lifeless body of a woman was found inside a church, while a human skull was also discovered in a school and a lifeless body of a middle-aged man was seen with his organ mutilated all in the town.

The lawmaker also disclosed that a student of one of the tertiary institutions in the area was reportedly killed by suspected cultists during the recently conducted voter registration exercise in the state.

After an exhaustive deliberations on the matter, the House mandated the state police command and other security agencies to, as a matter of urgency, beef up security at Ubiaja.
