– Professor Sagay says Fayose should be restrianed
– He says the governor has no say in the federal government’s loan application
Professor Itse Sagay who is the chairman of the presidential advisory committee on corruption has said that Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti is on course to destroy himself.
Fayose has been a vocal critic of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari with the latest being a letter he reportedly wrote to the Chinese government urging them not to grant President Buhari loan.
In an interview with Vanguard, Professor Sagay said Fayose is on the brink of destruction because he wasn’t cautious with the things he did.

“I think Fayose has a problem. The way I see it is that, the man who is on the brink of destruction has no restraint about what he does. To start with, what is the business of a state governor about a loan that is being given to the federal government?
On the issue of whether a state governor has the right to prevail on a federal government loan, Sagay said it wasn’t possible.
“He has no business. In fact on the contrary, it is when a state government wants to take a loan, that it will require the federal government to guarantee the loan. So, he has no business at all and I regard him as being on a journey to self destruction and I wish him luck. Let him continue to destroy himself with his mad impulses.”
Meanwhile, Governor Fayose was criticised by Nigerians on social media following pictures shared by his media aide that he was delivering lecture to Chinese investors.
