Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was caught taking sponsors’ prized souvenirs in astonishing CCTV footage from a VIP box in Wembley.

Rooney was invited, alongside other England stars, to watch boxer Carl Froch’s super-middleweight world title bout with George Groves but it seems Rooney had more on his mind than just the fight.
According to the Mirror, who got exclusive footage of Rooney taking things from the shop, the striker was seen on camera just 24 hours after England’s 3-0 win over Peru on May 30, 2014.

A source said: “People were shocked and bewildered to see Rooney’s behaviour in the footage, to think he’s someone earning in excess of £300,000 each week. It’s clear what Wayne was doing. You can see him debating with friends about which items to take.”
It was reported that while most other soccer players invited along left after the fight at around 10.30pm, Rooney and his friends stayed on for more than an hour in the corporate box.

The United captain was seen with friends seemingly deciding which items to take before picking up footwear and framed memorabilia.

The mirror reports that the attacker at one point took a collection of items on a table and gathers them together before putting them in a waste bin after one of his pals had used it.
