The Board of United Bank for Africa Plc said it has appointed a new group managing director and CEO.
He is Mr. Kennedy Uzoka. His appointment will take effect from 1 August 2016. He will be replacing Philip Oduoza, who was appointed in August 2010.
In a notification to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the board of the pan-African Bank also announced the appointment of Victor Osadolor as deputy managing director of the bank.
All the appointments are subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria, said Bili A. Odum, the group company secretary.
Former MD of the bank, Tony Elumelu tweeted shortly after the announcement saying the bank board had appointed Uzoka.
