– Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo called on the wealthy individuals to assist the Almajiri and others who are living under extreme and difficult economic conditions
Mrs Osinbajo made this call in her speech, during the inauguration of the “Mass Literacy for the Less Privileged’’ Foundation. The foundation is the brain-child of the wife of Kebbi state governor, Hajiya Aisha Bagudu.

In expressing her love for the less privileged, she said, the indigents she be treated with utmost love and admiration, despite where they live or what they wear or the low quality of food they eat. The efforts of the vice president’s wife is similar to that of Air Commodore Abdullahi, a retired top Airforce officer who donated 25% of the money he made from the launch of his book to victims of Boko Haram terrorists attacks recently.

Mrs Osinbajo appreciated the efforts of the Kebbi state’s first lady for the idea for a foundation of this kind. She said it will serve the purpose of the very poor. She also appreciated Nigerians, who have always help the poor, and prayed to God to bless them all.
Earlier in Hajiya Aisha’s speech, she said the education of the less privileged is the number one priority of the Foundation. The other core areas the Foundation will focus on include:eradication of extreme poverty, health issues and assistance in agriculture and craft making.
The governor’s wife added that the Foundation will also place priority on the girl-child, the deaf, blind, crippled, internally displaced persons and people living with HIV and AIDS. The Foundation was established about seven years ago, with branches in the 36 states of the country.
