Exclusive: See beautiful aerial views of these areas of Lagos everyone wants to visit (Photos)

Lagos state was created in 1967 and currently boasts of so many beautiful aerial views

– The state is known as the commercial hub and economic nerve centre of Nigeria

– It is the number one state in the country with people from all the over 250 ethnic nationalities

– There are certain areas and communities in Lagos where the creme de la creme of the society reside

The day-to-day activities in the state could be stressful, but so many things make someone forget all these challenges, when he feels Lagos in its real sense.

Why is Lagos the number state in Nigeria in terms of various indices of human and infrastructural developments? This question could be a bit rhetorical. This is because, anybody who has lived in the state beyond 10 years and has also moved around the state, will attest to the fact that, the state is the place to be and to enjoy good life. Likewise, the five divisions of Lagos, known as IBILE (Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe), each has its own unique features, which make people go there daily in millions.

During the governorship tenure of Babatunde Raji Fashola, Nigeria’s current Minister of Power, Works and Housing, he brought the phrase, Eko o ni baje o (meaning literally, Lagos state will not be destroyed), which became an anthem after any Lagosian finishes his statement. When he left, his successor, Akinwunmi Ambode introduced his own, Itesiwaju Eko, lo je wa logun (which literally means, the progress of Lagos state is our number one priority). All these phrases boost the morale and ego of a typical Lagosian, because, a typical indigene of Lagos, is proud to be a Lagosian.

Counting and observing the numerous five-star hotels, the lurch green grasses at the various relaxation spots and recreation centres, the various architectural masterpiece buildings and edifices and the many flyovers, which make the beautiful views of Lagos come out, either at night or at daytime and other adorable sights will continue to marvel someone at how great the state is.

Going to the several beaches, moving over the third mainland bridge, the longest mainland bridge above a Lagoon in West Africa, to travelling on Ikorodu road, the longest inter-state road in Nigeria, a person on his first time visit in Lagos, will be spell-bound and fascinated at these sights.

What will someone say he or she wants in the state, that is not more than enough. Is it the number of the government-owned and privately-owned estates, which is second to none in Nigeria? Is it the latest versions of all sorts of devices, gadgets and technological tools? Is it the different markets, either small-scale or big-scale markets? Sometimes, Lagos is beyond description.
