– Nigerian react to bombing in Maiduguri mosque
Few hours after the chief of army staff, Gen. Tukur Buratai assured Nigerians that the insurgency that has threatens the security and peace in some parts of the country will soon be suppressed, Boko Haram struck again.

The Nigerian army has won back vast amount of territory from Boko Haram, but this has not stopped the insurgents from launching suicide attacks on soft targets.
In what has now become a pattern for the insurgents, this latest attack was carried out by a suicide bomber who detonated a bomb in a mosque in Umarari Village, outskirts of Maiduguri, during the early morning prayers on Wednesday, March 16
About 22 Muslim worshipers were reportedly killed and 14 other persons suffered various degrees of injury as a result of the blast, according to Premium Times.
The blast has once again put the Buhari administration on the spotlight as some Nigerians expressed apprehension that the technically defeated term used to describe the present state of Boko Haram does not reflect the true account in the ongoing insurgency war.
