The Okrika council of chiefs has condemned the kidnap of the mother of the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Austin Tam-George.







A statement signed by the Chairman of the Okrika Council of Chief, Sunday Ameisamika Kalaowolo said the abduction of the woman has raised concerns among the people of Okrika.


Kalaowolo then appealed to the abductors of Madam Patience Tam George to release her and other victims unconditionally.


The Okrika Division of Chiefs used the medium to warn criminal elements not to disturb the peace enjoyed in Okrika in recent times.


The chiefs of Okrika also called on security agencies to work effectively to release those abducted by the kidnappers including Madam Patience Tam George.


In last contact between the kidnappers and Tam George’s family, the kidnappers demanded for N30 million ransom.
