18 stunning private spaces in New York you can rent for your next event

Splacer The Landing

When the best alternative to a conference room is a coffee shop, you know there’s a problem with how meetings happen.

Splacer wants to solve that problem.

Similar to what Airbnb did for overnight stays, Splacer is doing for events. Companies and groups can rent out private spaces from real people, whether it’s to film a music video in a church, blueprint a project in a brick-exposed penthouse, or just chat in a renovated garage.

More than 300 people have put their places on Splacer.

Here are some of our favorites.

In Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood, a vintage workshop studio runs for $80 an hour — on the low end for Splacer’s listings.

Manhattan’s East Village features a renovated synagogue that now functions as a townhouse.

Some places are simple, chic, and minimalistic.
