Rivers State Government says the Thanksgiving and Dedication Service it held on the 19 September, 2015 was an altar call to surrender the state to God.

The State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo gave this indication during a New Year Eve/Cross Over Service organized by Christ Embassy Church at the General Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Dr. Banigo explained that the State Government had led the Government and People of the State to God and therefore declared that Rivers State is “Born Again” noting that, Governor Nyesom Wike hinges his administration on justice and righteousness.

The deputy governor thanked the leadership of Christ Embassy for deeming it necessary to invite the State Government to be part of the programme, adding that 2016 promises hope of a better future that would witness “flood of blessings” for the State.

In his Sermon, via Satellite, the Senior Pastor of Christ Embassy (Love World) Chris Oyakhilome prophetically declared 2016 as the “Year of spreading.”

Pastor Oyakhilome said Christians must live by the Word and direction of God which is the source of strength and supernatural success for those who painstakingly believe in him.

The Deputy Governor attended the service with the Commissioners for Environment, Prof. Roselyn Konya; Budget and Economic Planning – Mr. Joe Kamalu; Information and communications – Dr. Tam George and Water Resources, Hon. Ibibia Walter.

The event also witnessed a spectacular fire-works and short documentary on the impact on Rhapsody of Reality.
