Discernment is knowing the difference between right and almost right.
Charles .G.Spurgeon
A true shepherd must not be so nice with false doctrine and its peddlers at the expense of truth.
When a pastor is silent about false teaching ,he is exposing his flock to instability .
He shouldn’t major on rebuking false teaching neither should he be found been pacifist .
1 Timothy 4:6-7,16 KJV
[6] If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7] But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
We mustn’t be heresy hunters or sniffer dogs neither should we be gullible not to detect .
I owe the flock I pastor the duty to sharpen their discernment ,by exposing wrong doctrine in the light of the word ,which is in love ,no matter whose Ox is gored ,
Grace to you
