A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital has ordered three students of the School of Nursing, Federal University Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti to be remanded in prison custody.
The students are; Adeyemi Olumuyiwa, Ajelabi Ayobami and Smart Tosin.

The suspects were alleged to have committed murder against one late Adebayo Oluwaseun Charles, on the independence day, October 1, 2015.
The defense counsel, Ayorinde Busuyi urged the court to order the police to duplicate the case file to the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The presiding magistrate, Modupe Afeniforo granted the defence-prayer and ordered the suspects to be remanded in prison custody, pending the issuance of their legal advice.
In another matter, the case involving two students of the federal polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Oluwajana Sijibomi and Akomolafe Emmanuel has been adjourned for definite hearing.
The adjournment was agreed upon by both the prosecutor and the defense counsel.
Busuyi had informed the court that there are moves to settle the case out of court.
They are Sijibomi and Emmanuel who are standing trial for committing felony, wilful damage to the security post, other properties, and assaulted two of the institution’s security men, Abitoye Tunde and Funmilola Akinwale.
Both defendants were remanded on the 14th October, 2015.

The presiding magistrate, Modupe Afeniforo, acceded to the prayer of the defense counsel to allow his client continue to enjoy the existing bail and adjourned the matter to the December 30, 2015.
