Police have arrested a 17-year-old girl for punching an 87-year-old woman in the face on a bus in south London, England, UK.

The unnamed 87-year-old has become a victim of two teenage girls after she tried to persuade them to pay for their journey. The incident was caught on CCTV cameras and was later uploaded to the Internet, causing anger among locals.
The video footage shows two young women arguing with a driver and the elderly woman when they refused to pay. The bus is almost empty, there are only four or five passengers inside of it when the hassle started.

At one point the girl is seen throwing a punch in the 87-year-old woman’s face and then running away with her accomplice. The old lady is visibly in shock and holds her face, while another woman passenger is trying to help her.
The woman was taken to the hospital and discharged later that day with a black eye. Police sergeant Arran Hillier, from the Croydon Safer Transport Team, said: “This was a nasty attack on an elderly woman, who just wanted to get home. I urge anyone who may recognise the suspects to contact the police.”
