Yusufu Waheed who is in his mid-thirties has been slammed six-month imprisonment term for stealing a phone worth N10, 000.
The defendant was arrested and arraigned by the police before Chief Magistrate Y,N Pinheiro at an Ogba Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ikeja.
Waheed who was said to be a resident of 13 Jegede Street, Oshodi, Lagos was docked on two-count-charge of stealing, The Nation reports.

According to the police prosecutor, Uche Simon, the defendant was arrested at about 5.am at Oshodi when he disposed one, Odgenimah Frances of his phone.
The police prosecutor continued that convict had humped through the window into the room of his victim and stole the said phone.
He told the court that the convict was caught by the vigilante group on guard in the area and handed over to the police.

Meanwhile, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the state had warned commercial motorcycle operators popularly called Okada riders, commercial buses and street hawkers that the state would no longer tolerate their activities that have caused serious problems to Lagosians.
The state had been under the siege of criminals who have turned the highways and streets to fertile grounds for engaging in criminal acts. The governor has decided to curb the unruly activities in the state by taking firm measures.
