Tesla"s third quarter vehicle deliveries totaled 11,580, up 49% from the prior year.
These deliveries also include the first Model X SUVs, which the company unveiled earlier this week.
Tesla said in its second quarter earnings release that it expects to deliver 50,000-55,000 vehicles this year. And so at the delivery pace seen in the third quarter the company looks a little behind schedule.
However, in the second quarter Tesla delivered 11,532 vehicles and said it expected to deliver about the same number in Q3.
In after hours trade on Friday, the stock was up down about 0.6% after gaining 3.2% during regular trade.
