The senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District in the Senate, Solomon Adeola has hailed the victory of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at the Supreme Court.

Adeola, popularly called ‘Yayi’ by his admirers also stated that the victory of Ambode has left the Lagos state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dis-organised.

Adeola who made the comment while congratulating Ambode on his victory over Lagos PDP at the apex court advised Ambode’s opponent at the election, Jimi Agbaje not to take the issue of governing Lagos State with desperation.
According to him, Agbaje should have seen the handwriting on the wall when his party abandoned him after he lost at the Court of Appeal.
He said with the final victory of Ambode, the governor can now concentrate on delivering on the mandate given to him by majority of Lagosians.
He added that with the state executive council now in place, Lagosians should expect delivery of democracy dividends as promised by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also assured Lagosians that members of the federal legislature from Lagos state would work with Ambode to ensure that residents of the mega city benefits from the government, Daily Sun reports.

It will be recalled that Nigeria’s Supreme Court on Tuesday, October 20, upheld the election of Ambode as the Lagos state governor.
A seven-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Tanko Muhammad in a unanimous judgment, struck out the appeal by Agbaje , for not being competent.
Meanwhile, Ambode on Wednesday, October 21, donated N50m each to the governors of Yobe, Adamawa and Borno state as part of the state government’s support towards the rebuilding of states affected by Boko Haram attacks.
