One of the many trending hashtags related to the papal visit is "#PopeIsDope." Not particularly clever, but also not the sort of thing that"s likely to attract much negative attention - unless you"re Kim Kardashian.
When Kim tweeted "Pope is dope" a popular Argentine news web site mistranslated it as "the Pope is drugs" in an article entitled "Did Kim Kardashian Attack the Pope?"

The answer to that question is obviously "no," but the author of the piece didn"t allow for the possibility of a misunderstanding, noting that the tweet "cannot be interpreted as positive."
Fortunately, some of the site"s readers were quick to point out that Kim"s compliment was lost in translation.
“Here in America, Dope is when something is good, extraordinary,” wrote one. “Inform yourselves before posting nonsense.”
Yes, for once, Internet commenters are defending Kim Kardashian. This pope really can work miracles!
Sure, at some point (probably within the next hour) Kim will post a photo of her butt, and the haters will resume hating, but for this brief, glorious moment, Americans are united in their defense of a Kardashian.
Hopefully, Francis just executed the papal equivalent of a mic drop.
