The family of Cathriona White has released a statement in the wake of this 30-year old"s tragic suicide.
As previously reported, the Irish makeup artist and on-again/off-again girlfriend of Jim Carrey took her own life on Monday by overdosing on pills authorities found at the scene.
According to local police officers, a note found inside White"s apartment referenced her recent split from Carrey.

Now, in a statement released to The Irish Independent, White’s loved ones have said the following:
"The family of Cathriona White sincerely regret the untimely passing of their beloved daughter and sister.
"Cathriona was a shining light in our lives who was loved deeply by her entire family. We will miss her terribly and at this difficult time we ask to be left in private to mourn our loss.
"There will be no further statements on behalf of the family."
Carrey, meanwhile, released his own statement on Tuesday, mourning the loss of the woman he had gotten back together with in May.
"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona," said the actor.
"She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.
"My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
